To end 2021, December high-end home listings in Springfield collectively sought $7.4 million in asking prices.
For the monthly editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of seven single-family homes within city limits that hit the market last month with asking prices of $500,000 or more. The December figure was down from 10 listed in November and 14 in October.
In December, the most- expensive home listed was a $2.9 million residence near Highland Springs Country Club in southeast Springfield. The residence has five bedrooms and seven total bathrooms, according to Southern Missouri Regional MLS data.
In the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors Inc.'s service area, the average sale price in December was $262,459, according to the organization's market statistics. Homes sold in December spent an average of 24 days on the market, according to the GSBOR.
The latest Missouri Realtors data show 7,985 residential properties sold statewide in November. The average price was $264,410, according to a news release.
