Curb Appeal: 33 high-end residences listed in June

The summer high-end market in Springfield stayed hot in June, according to Southern Missouri Regional MLS data.

For the monthly editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of 33 single-family homes within city limits that were listed last month with asking prices of $500,000 or more. That's the largest monthly total for the year, compared with the previous record of 28 set in May.

Residences listed last month have combined asking prices of $29.2 million. That's second only to May's $29.6 million for the year.

Nine homes listed last month have asking prices exceeding $1 million. The highest priced house of the month, at $2.49 million, is at 3957 E. Dunrobin Drive. The nearly 7,500-square-foot residence has five bedrooms and five bathrooms and is located off the 16th hole in Highland Springs.

In the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors' service area, the average sale price in June was $311,799, compared with $312,377 a year earlier. There were 655 units sold, up from 631 in June 2023.

Statewide, the most recent data from the Missouri Realtors association shows an average sale price in May of $319,760, a 6.8% increase year over year. There were 7,260 homes sold in May, a 6.2% increase.
