Croley Insurance buys local firm

Croley Insurance and Financial Inc. penned a deal to purchase local firm HealthPointe Insurance Solutions LLC.

The deal closed July 31 for undisclosed terms, according to a news release.

With the acquisition, Croley Insurance added Healthpointe Insurance owner/operator Cindy Elston to its team. She has more than 20 years of experience in employee benefits and had operated Healthpointe Insurance at 3378 S. Scenic Ave.

“We are excited to bring Cindy into our agency. Her knowledge as well as her experience in the insurance industry will certainly benefit our clients,” said Trevor Croley, president of Croley Insurance, in the release.

Croley was unavailable for comment this morning to provide more details on the purchase.

In 2009, Elston registered HealthPointe Insurance Solutions with the Missouri secretary of state’s office.

The 1949-founded Croley Insurance ranked 13th this year on Springfield Business Journal’s list of the area’s largest independent insurance agencies, published July 16. The company reported 15 local agents, 25 total employees and 4,000 local accounts.
