CoxHealth is consolidating its high-revenue Oxford HealthCare and two other business units into a new company.

Oxford, CoxHealth Home Support and Home Parenteral Services will collectively become CoxHealth at Home on July 29, according to a news release.

Kaitlyn McConnell, spokeswoman for CoxHealth, said the change means the end of the Oxford name, which produces $40 million in annual revenue, according to Springfield Business Journal list research. Oxford ranked No. 3 on SBJ’s recent list of the area’s largest home health care agencies, based on 120,000 average monthly patient visits. Oxford reported 733 employees.

McConnell said Oxford President Debbie Cain was promoted to oversee CoxHealth at Home. She’s vice president of the new company, which McConnell said is consistent with the other department heads in the CoxHealth system.

“Although these companies have been owned by CoxHealth for a long time, it was difficult in some cases to immediately see the tie. That’s a challenge for patients who want to stay with CoxHealth because of insurance,” Cain said in a news release. “We’re excited for this development but want to reassure patients that there won’t be any interruption or change to the care they’re currently receiving.”

CoxHealth Home Support offers medical equipment and supplies, such as lift chairs and walkers, and Home Parenteral Services provides home infusions, therapy and other services, according to CoxHealth.com.
