The recipients of three awards were unveiled last night at Springfield Business Journal's fourth-annual Coolest Things Made in the Ozarks event.
The event at the Hilton Branson Convention Center highlighted 16 standout products from regional manufacturers. The finalists were previously announced along with two individual award recipients.
Revealed for the first time at the event were the announcements of the Voters’ Choice Award, the Showcase Award and the Judges’ Choice Award.
Jordan Essentials was recognized with the Voters’ Choice Award for its magnesium essential oil infused Sleep Stick product. Nearly 1,700 people weighed in via public voting prior to the event to decide the winner.
Around 100 people participated in live voting at the event to decide the Showcase Award. That honor went to Buckhorn Inc. and its CenterFlow container product that provides a sustainable option to transport and dispense corn and soy seed.
The Judges’ Choice Award, chosen by the Coolest Things selection committee to recognize impact in the company and community, went to KMedPro LLC for its medical device pouches that are designed to help patients with telemetry devices become more mobile.
Two individual awards were also presented at last night's event:
• Plant Manager of the Year: Tom Halcomb with Amprod LLC
• Excellence in Manufacturing: Jeff Bigley with Amprod LLC
