The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce's workforce development project manager joined a recently debuted startup.
Alex Greiwe was hired as client champion for consulting and leadership development company Habitat Communication & Culture, according to a news release. Her work includes strategic planning, organizational design initiatives, performance management solutions and research projects for clients.
“The experience Alex gained through working with public- and private-sector leaders to develop communitywide strategies to address workforce needs, gave her unique perspective on the challenges business leaders face in our region,” said Habitat co-founder Jarad Johnson, via email. “As a client champion at Habitat, Alex's experience and passion are perfectly aligned with our mission to help organizations build better teams and help teams build better organizations.”
Greiwe brings more than four years of experience from the chamber, where she managed workforce development efforts by working with businesses and job partners, according to her LinkedIn profile. She joined Habitat in April.
That's the same month Habitat announced its public debut after more than a year of "stealth operations." Two executives at Springfield website design and digital marketing firm Mostly Serious LLC, Johnson and Spencer Harris, started the company.
Habitat has conducted work for Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc., H Design Group LLC and Old Missouri Bank, according to past reporting.
