Branson entertainment and hospitality company Itec Attractions has promoted a nearly 20-year company veteran to president.
Tanya Bluto started in the role this month, according to a news release. She most recently served as vice president of operations for the company and spearheaded the creation of its Heroes Tastes and Taps restaurant that opened earlier this year.
"It is not often that a president has had as much hands-on experience as Tanya has had," said Kelvyn Cullimore Sr., former ITEC president and current board member, in the release. "She has worked in every facet of our business. She understands the challenges of each department.
"We anticipate significant growth under her leadership.”
As president, Bluto succeeds her grandfather, Paul Bluto, who held the role for a year. Paul and Ann Bluto purchased Itec from Cullimore in 1998, said Itec spokesperson Becky Blair.
Founded in 1993, Itec Attractions is an umbrella company for Branson’s Imax theater, The Little Opry Theatre, McFarlain’s Family Restaurant, Florentina’s Ristorante Italiano, The Shoppes at Imax, Heroes Tastes and Taps, and Branson Meadows Cinema 11. The latter cinema is slated to reopen in the fall.
Heroes Tastes and Taps, the latest concept from Itec, opened in April at 3225 W. 76 Country Blvd., the site of a former Montana Mike's Steakhouse franchise operated by Paul and Ann Bluto.
The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year.
