Branson business enters agreement with private equity firm

Posted online

Branson's The Track Family Fun Parks announced a partnership with Denver-based private equity firm Fruition Partners.

Craig Wescott and Mike Russell, who have been involved in the company since its inception 40 years ago, will continue to lead The Track, according to a news release. Wescott said via email that "Fruition Partners made a large investment in our company" in an undisclosed amount.

"We are excited to leverage The Track’s model and partner with or acquire other strong (family entertainment center) operators with a particular focus on the south/southeastern United States," said Jay Coughlon, managing partner and co-founder of Fruition Partners, in the release.

Wescott, president of The Track, said in the release that the private equity partnership would allow for growth of its attractions.

"Fruition, with their focus on people, was a natural fit when Mike and I decided to partner with a private equity firm to grow The Track," Wescott said in the release. "We look forward to investing in our existing staff and properties while adding new attractions and experiences in Branson and beyond.

"Fruition recognizes what The Track family has accomplished over the decades and will provide the resources and strategic expertise to help us grow and improve in new ways.”

The Track operates three Branson go-kart tracks, a Ferris wheel attraction, laser tag, bumper boats and cars, miniature golf, batting cages and other activities.
