The Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce this month recognized its annual business and community partners of the year.
Business of the year honors went to The Flower Patch & More, and Bolivar Parks and Recreation leader Todd Schrader was named community partner of the year, according to a news release.
Nominations were taken from the community and chamber members, and a selection committee including members of the chamber's executive board made the final choices.
"There were several deserving nominations this year,” said Bolivar chamber President Paul Folbre, in the release. "It was a tough choice. Each nominated business deserves recognition for their accomplishments and community involvement."
The Flower Patch & More, owned by Kelly Coffey, offers a variety of floral designs for special occasions, according to its website.
Led by Schrader, Bolivar Parks and Recreation oversees the Bolivar Recreation and Aquatics Fitness Center, recreation areas and other amenities for the community.
The honorees were recognized Nov. 10 during the Bolivar chamber's annual meeting, according to the release.
