Springfield-based Bass Pro Shops is expanding its retail footprint in the Great Lakes State.
An early 2026 opening is targeted for a Bass Pro Outdoor World store in Lansing, Michigan, according to a news release issued this week.
The 85,000-square-foot store would be part of the Delta Crossing development.
"It’s an honor to have the opportunity to serve the sportsmen and women in the Lansing area," Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris said in the release.
The store would be Bass Pro's sixth in Michigan. Bass Pro has 173 stores in the United States and Canada, according to its website.
At the Lansing store, Bass Pro expects to employ more than 100, according to the release.
A chance opportunity led to the opening of Nixa’s Haven Games, which this year tripled its storefront space.
