Bass Pro Shops is expanding in Arizona.
The Springfield-based outdoor retailer has plans for a new store in Tucson, according to a news release.
The store would be Bass Pro's third location in Arizona, joining stores in Mesa and Glendale.
“We are very excited about this opportunity to strengthen our relationship with the sportsmen and women of southern Arizona,” Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris said in the release. “This new store will make it easier for the people and families who love to hunt and fish Arizona’s deserts and waterways to spend time together in the great outdoors.”
The Bass Pro Outdoor World is expected to open in late 2024. It would be part of Tucson Marketplace, one of the districts in a 350-acre development called The Bridges.
The Tucson location is the second newly announced store by Bass Pro in as many months. The company last month revealed plans for an Outdoor World in Loveland, Colorado, according to past reporting.
BassPro.com currently lists 171 stores in the United States and Canada under the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's store brands.
