Arvest Bank in Springfield is adding its first branch downtown.
Chandler Johnston, marketing specialist for Arvest Springfield, said the 1,800-square-foot branch is projected to open in February 2023 at the Brewery District Flats, 535 W. Walnut St.
"We see an opportunity to serve the community and customers in the downtown district," Johnston said via email.
The full-service branch – without a drive-thru – would employ four staff members, Johnston said.
The branch would mark Arvest Springfield's sixth location in the Queen City, according to its website. The current branch that's closest to downtown operates at 730 N. National Ave., at the Chestnut Expressway intersection.
In Brewery District Flats, Arvest Bank is slated to join Classic Rock Coffee as a tenant, as well as upstairs loft apartments. Springfield Brewing Co. and Mother’s Brewing Co. operate on the same block.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
