On April 22, Amazon workers in Republic handed out 10,000 pounds of pet supplies and pet food, along with 800 pounds of children’s toys, household items and consumer goods, according to a news release. Since opening in August 2021, the multimillion-dollar, 1.3 million-square-foot Republic fulfillment center has donated more than 80,000 pounds of pet supplies and 6,500 pounds of food and household items, officials say.
