Rebrand
After being recognized again in 2022 as one of U.S. News’ Best Law Firms in America, premier full-service business and estate planning law firm Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown decided it was time for a refresh, including a name change to Carnahan Evans. “We wanted to recognize our long tradition of providing premier tax advice and guidance to our business and estate planning clients, while paving some new pathways for legal services that we are expanding into,” said Christiaan Horton, shareholder.
New shareholders named
In addition to a rebrand, the firm also named Andrew T. Peebles and David K. Olive as shareholders. Peebles was recently recognized in the 2022 Best Lawyers in America: “Ones to Watch” list and as a 2021 Missouri and Kansas “Rising Stars” honoree for his work in trusts and estates law. Olive was recently recognized in the 2022 Best Lawyers in America: “Ones to Watch” list for his work in ERISA law.

“So many times issues come up that require multifaceted analysis and strategic planning,” said Horton. “The synergy we get from one another’s practices really helps us deliver a full suite of legal services to our clients. The purpose of the rebranding was to make sure that our clients, both current and prospective, know that our firm is positioned to be here for a very long time.”
