New grant funding is providing a combined $302,000 for local organizations to use on capital expenditures.

Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc. is partnering with the Jeannette L. Musgrave Foundation and U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management on the Musgrave Capital Campaign grants, according to a news release. The Musgrave Foundation is managed by U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management and administered by CFO.

The groups presented the largest grant, at $172,175, to Women’s Medical Respite during a ceremony yesterday. Grant presentations of $100,000 and $30,000, respectively, are slated to be held for Springfield Art Museum and Acompanarte Cultural Center in December.

The funding for Women’s Medical Respite pays off the mortgage on an East Page Street house the nonprofit recently purchased and renovated to increase the number of women it can serve, according to the release.

The $100,000 grant goes toward the Springfield Art Museum's expansion and renovation project. The 1111 E. Brookside Drive museum recently closed for the three-year renovation project.

Acompanarte Cultural Center, a cultural space for Spanish and non-Spanish speakers, intends to use its $30,000 grant to help finance floor repairs, building maintenance and the purchase of art materials to expand art education offerings, according to the release.
