Editor’s Note: In its first year eligible to make the list, KCI Construction Co. took home the top spot among this year’s Dynamic Dozen. Springfield Business Journal’s annual Dynamic Dozen awards – now in their 22nd year – look at the fastest-growing companies in the Springfield region based on a calculation of revenue growth over the past three years.
It was three years ago that KCI, a St. Louis-based commercial general contracting firm, entered the Springfield market. It’s made a big splash since then, rising to No. 8 on SBJ’s list of largest commercial general contractors published last month. Local leader Gregg Scholtens says the firm’s success is due to strong leadership and vision, and a focus on providing the best customer service.
CoxHealth is making an appearance on the list again, now its 15th time to be called one of the 12 fastest-growing companies in the area. Impressive to say the least. Keep Supply, last year’s winner, is runner-up this year. And with plans to expand even further with new offices downtown, it’s likely to continue to see rapid growth.
A trio of talented women round out this year’s awards through individual honors. These professionals represent the people behind our community’s successful businesses.
Thanks to the judges for selecting the individual winners and the Judges’ Choice award, and to our third-party auditor for verifying the list calculations.
A big round of applause to all the 2025 honorees for their dynamic contributions to our community’s economy. –Christine Temple, Executive Editor
