After 15 years as a commercial interior designer, which included work for a couple architecture firms, Brandi Bailey made a professional shift in 2020 to the construction industry. Taking on a new role at Snyder Construction Group LLC, Bailey says it was a move made with the desire to grow her skills in strategic initiatives, business development and connecting people.
As vice president of strategic development and marketing, Bailey says she always is looking for ways to bring Snyder Construction Group’s staff together. That includes company town hall meetings held every other month that recognize employees for their work, share information about ongoing projects and provide statistics of Snyder’s performance scorecard and metrics.
“People want to feel connected to a purpose, and when they do, they will thrive, and in turn, so will your customers and your business,” she says. “I have so many tell me that since I have come to the company, they feel more connected to our goals and that there is more transparency – plus we have more fun! It’s the best feeling when I know I’m helping someone feel like their work matters.”
For Bailey, genuine relationships are the foundation of success in anything, be it personal or professional, adding she enjoys making new connections and uniting people where there is possible mutual benefit.
“I enjoy being a sounding board when someone is going through a transition, I mentor young people in my company and am always looking for ways to be alongside someone on their road to whatever their success looks like,” she says.
Dusty Emmert, president of Snyder Construction Group, credits Bailey for leading the company’s successful rebranding project in 2020.
“As a woman in the construction industry, Brandi has consistently proven herself as a trailblazer,” he says. “Her vision, creativity and strategic thinking have led to the successful implementation of numerous groundbreaking initiatives at Snyder Construction Group.”
Bailey’s desire to be a connector extends into her civic activity, which currently includes being a member of Rotary Club of Springfield Southeast and a member of the board of Taney County Partnership, which is the economic development arm of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau. She also is a board member for nonprofit Lost & Found Grief Center, where she has served the last two fiscal years on its executive committee and as treasurer.
“I also volunteered at nearly every event Lost & Found had this past year,” she says, noting she began serving with the nonprofit in 2020 as a junior board member. “I have enjoyed my role and am dedicated to giving of myself to support our goals.”
Bambinos Cafe is getting a refresh. The goal of the project is to expand the parking lot, dining areas and kitchen of the Phelps Grove neighborhood eatery.
