2022 Most Influential Women

Posted online

Editor’s Note: Former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt has one of my favorite quotes on the influence of women.

She said, “A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong it is until it’s in hot water.”

Springfield Business Journal’s 2022 class of Most Influential Women have demonstrated their strength in various ways, both in their professions and the community. As they have faced challenges or been met with a need requiring an innovative solution, they have stepped up to meet the moment.

Here are just some examples of their stories included in this special edition: creating best practices and new ideas in urban farming; reaching the globe with empowerment and feeding programs; making safe spaces for kids; helping athletes reach new heights; promoting an inclusive community; developing conservation-minded education; and giving a voice to victims of crime.

A special thanks to the independent panel of judges who selected this year’s class. Congratulations to the 2022 honorees.
