Then: General Manager, Chardonnay
Now: Vice President of Sports Development, Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & Convention and Visitors Bureau
A constant in Kirk Elmquist’s life has been sports.
However, when he was a 40 Under 40 honoree in 2003, he was serving as general manager for Chardonnay, which is now Char.
That same year, he took on a role leading marketing for Millwood Golf & Racquet Club, then spent five years with the Springfield Cardinals. Later on in his career, he teamed up with Johnny Morris to serve as tournament director for Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge.
In his new role with the Branson chamber/CVB, he’s again focused on sports.
“I am extremely motivated to help create plans to bring more guests to Branson that will enjoy what is going on in golf, entertainment, lodging, dining and on this beautiful lake that we have,” he says.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
