Drennen serves as vice president and president-elect for the Springfield Sister Cities Association, where he has volunteered for more than a decade. He’s been tasked with formalizing SSCA’s scholarship program, helping young professionals travel to meet industry peers in sister cities in Mexico and Japan.

Since Drennen’s involvement, SSCA sponsorships and attendance have increased, and an additional $28,000 was raised in the last two years. He initiated a partnership between Central Trust and SSCA to support community programs, including multicultural events in Springfield. “I want to have lasting and meaningful impacts on the lives of others through cultural awareness,” Drennen says.
