Private Duty Care Service Line

Phoenix Home Care and Hospice offers a wide variety of customized services through its Private Duty Care Service Line. “It’s a broad offering of services that is customized to clients wants or needs,” said Brandi Bartell of Phoenix Home Care and Hospice. In addition to skilled nursing and nurses aid services and companion assistance, Private Duty Care clients can get help on a temporary or ongoing basis with things like:

  • Meal preparation
  • Shopping and general errands
  • Transportation
  • Basic housekeeping
  • Personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing)
  • Nursing services
  • Medication set up

Private Duty Care services are offered for anywhere from as little as two hours to a full 24 hours per day and can be delivered on a temporary or ongoing basis. Private Duty Care is available for those living at home, whether alone or with a caregiver and those who may already be in an independent or assisted living center. Bartell gave the example of someone who lives with family members who are primary caregivers. If the need arises for the caregiver to leave the home for a small amount of time or leave town for an extended period, Phoenix Private Duty Care would be a way for that person to have round the clock care while primary caregivers are away. “It’s just nice to know you have that extra person that you can trust,” said Bartell.

Experiential Packages

In addition to the basic services listed above, Phoenix also offers experiential packages to Private Duty Care Clients which can include nearly any outing a client would like to attend. “There’s really no limit to it,” said Bartell. “We’ve taken clients to Missouri State basketball games. We drive them there and sit through the game with them. We can take clients to a spa day. We’ve even taken a client to the casino before.”

Hiring Caregivers and Nurses

From newborns to senior citizens Phoenix Home Care and Hospice provides the full continuum of care for anyone at any stage in life. Phoenix is seeking not only skilled nurses but also caregivers to provide the help and companionship that all of the offered services require.

“Basically, if there is any health care related service they need and can be provided in the home, we can help,” said Bartell. Providing the full continuum of care eliminates the need for clients to seek out different agencies throughout their life transitions.

Providing compassionate nurses is key to Phoenix’s mission and in order to find the right fit, Phoenix offers competitive pay and benefits to its employees. Flexible scheduling is top of mind for many folks at the moment and Bartell said that during the interview process, applicants can list out the hours they’re available and Phoenix will make the best effort to accommodate those wishes. In addition to competitive pay and flexible scheduling, other benefits offered include:

  • Weekly direct deposits
  • Paid training
  • Unlimited referral bonuses
  • Multiple major medical plans to choose from and spousal insurance

Phoenix Home Care and Hospice has numerous locations in southwest Missouri, central Missouri, the St. Louis region, Kansas City, Illinois and Kansas.
