Project description: Mercy Heart Hospital, on the campus of Mercy Hospital Springfield, is slated for completion in two years. Construction began in mid-2016, and Mercy spokeswoman Sonya Kullmann said key goals of the hospital addition and remodel include “simplifying the patient experience” and “providing timely access to testing and treatment.” The new facility will handle invasive procedures on the first floor and cardiovascular clinics on the second floor, she said. There will be a dedicated, separate entrance to the new hospital. BatesForum LLC is the project architect.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
