Wilkinson Dental relocating with $1.5M new build

Dr. Trent Wilkinson is investing $1.5 million to build a new office in a relocation from his practice’s home in Georgetown Square.

Wilkinson Dental, which currently operates at 1902 E. Battlefield Road, Ste. A, is moving about a mile southwest to 1705 E. Primrose St. Construction crews were busy this morning at the previously vacant lot, which now has foundation work and steel coming out of the ground near the Delaware Avenue intersection west of Lowe’s.

Wilkinson said he recently added another dentist, Dr. Seth Gray, to meet growing patient counts and needs. Through Covenant Real Estate LLC, he acquired the vacant corner parcel at Primrose Street and Delaware Avenue from Canyon LLC.

“The practice has grown over the last several years beyond what our leased space can accommodate,” Wilkinson said via email, noting the new spot is a “convenient location near prominent retail areas.

“Having our own office space allows us to do more with community events, like our free dental days.”

BP Builders LLC is the general contractor for the 7,700-square-foot project designed by Bates, Wilkinson said. Roughly 6,200 square feet makes up the dental practice’s main level, with the remainder being basement-level storage. He said Live Oak Bank is the lender for the project expected to wrap up on Nov. 1.

Contractor Adam Pyle of BP Builders said the new office is designed with 12 patient rooms, offices for the dentists, and conference and break rooms. He said the exterior will have a mixture of cedar siding, stone and metal panels for a modern look. Wilkinson added the new office would have a layout integrating new technology and a surgical suite.

Wilkinson Dental, according to its website, has operated since 1998.
