White House: Trump to visit Loren Cook Co.

Posted online

President Donald Trump will speak to employees at Loren Cook Co. when he visits Springfield on Wednesday, White House officials confirmed this morning.

After arriving at Springfield-Branson National Airport, Trump is expected to travel to the industrial fans manufacturer's 2707 N. Barnes St. plant to speak about tax reform at 2:30 p.m. Officials with Loren Cook Co. declined to comment this morning.

During the president's campaign run, Loren Cook Co. Vice President Loren Cook II contributed $5,400 to Trump, according to SBJ archives.

“I think this might be the last campaign I contribute to because I am just so disenfranchised with both parties,” Cook said in a November SBJ article, noting his contribution to the Trump campaign was not so much in support of Trump as it was anti-establishment.

Trump's trip to the Queen City will kick off a series of stops related to overhauling U.S. tax policy, Bloomberg first reported.

I concur with Mr. Cook's feeling of disenfranchisement. I am frustrated with both parties, they represent few if any of my feelings any more.
