Citizens Memorial Healthcare Foundation officials break ground July 5 on a senior living center. The new project, called Lake Stockton Healthcare, replaces a 75-bed facility formerly known as Stockton Nursing Home. Construction on the $8.1 million, 90-bed facility is expected to be complete in 14 months.

The local nonprofit arts and culture sector provides an economic impact of $26.9 million and supports over 1,000 jobs, according to data released July 12 by the Springfield Regional Arts Council.
