Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is planning to cut nearly 1,000 corporate jobs by the end of the month, an executive familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal.
The job cuts would be made prior to the end of the company's fiscal year on Jan. 31.
They'll include eliminations in the Bentonville, Arkansas-based retailer's human resources department.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
