The number of U.S. households that reached millionaire status climbed the most last year since 2009.
Those reporting a net worth between $1 million and $5 million, not including primary residences, jumped by nearly 600,000 to almost 10 million, according to Spectrem Group.
The increase is a 6.2 percent bump from 2016, according to the report.
