Personal attorneys working for President Donald Trump are considering legal action against MSNBC and a private journalist for reporting a portion of his 2005 tax returns, according to Fox Business.
Investigative reporter David Cay Johnston on Tuesday published the returns on his website. They were simultaneously aired on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show.”
According to legal experts, Trump would have to prove the journalists were complicit in stealing his tax returns. Both have denied that.
