Trump nominates new Labor secretary

President Donald Trump on Thursday nominated former National Labor Relations Board member R. Alexander Acosta to serve as secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor.

The nomination came a day after his original choice, Andrew Puzder, withdrew from consideration.

The dean of the Florida International University College of Law in Miami, Acosta is Trump’s first Hispanic nominee.
