Toy company CEO leads efforts to salvage Toys R Us

The Associated Press reports toy company executive Isaac Larian is leading efforts to salvage some Toys R Us stores.

Larian and other investors have pledged $200 million and intend to raise four times that amount to potentially save more than half of the stores slated for closure.

Larian is the CEO of Bratz doll-maker MGA Entertainment. Nearly 1 in 5 of the company's sales are rung up at a Toys R Us store.

Toys R Us liquidation sales are slated to start today.
