Some cities have moved to ban teenagers from trick-or-treating.
City officials with Chesapeake, Virginia, recently announced those over the age of 12 who trick-or-treat could face a misdemeanor charge, up to six months in jail and $25-$100 fines.
Chesapeake joins other U.S. cities that also set the cutoff age at 12, including Meridian, Mississippi, Bishopville, South Carolina, and Boonsboro, Maryland.
