The Swiss government delayed a final decision on whether to scrap its stockpile of coffee beans.
Government officials in April announced the plans, saying coffee is not vital to life and does not need to be stockpiled in case of emergency. Coffee has been stockpiled for decades along with sugar, edible oils and animal feed.
The decision has been delayed to at least January 2020, with opponents saying the change may mean the Swiss government will switch course.
