After relocating from its original downtown home to Farmers Park in 2015, Studio 417 Salon is vacating the south-side development.
Studio 417 co-owner Hannah Catlett confirmed the planned move after the company issued a news release about a new location.
The company is relocating this fall — after its lease is up at Farmers Park — to The Wooten Co.’s Aundria Plaza at 4303 S. National Ave.
The salon owned by Catlett and her husband Paul will initially take on 4,468 square feet with 25 styling stations and private treatment rooms. They plan to expand into an additional 2,500 square feet after the launch this fall, according to the release.
"I’ve been in the industry for 11 years, and it is constantly changing and evolving. It's exciting to work with owners like Paul and Hannah who recognize the need to adapt and evolve,” said Megan Murphy, a stylist at Studio 417, in the release. “This move represents the next big thing for the Studio 417 team."
Following the opening of Studio 417’s second location in Farmers Park in 2014, the company moved all of its operations to the development the following year. The company originally opened at 444 W. McDaniel St. in 2000, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
Studio 417 will be the second major tenant to vacate Farmers Park this year.
Metropolitan Farmer, which shut down Jan. 27, was sued prior to the closure by Farmers Park LLC on allegations of missing lease payments to the tune of at least $133,000 in back rent and late fees.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
