The Church of God in Christ is relocating its annual convocation back to Memphis, Tennessee, from St. Louis after 2020.
"The city of Memphis has special significance in the spiritual and cultural life of COGIC and we are pleased to return to the place of our origin," Presiding Bishop Charles Blake Sr. said.
The convocation is St. Louis's second-largest convention. Currently running through next Tuesday, the convocation brought some 35,000 attendees to the city and is expected to have a nearly $19 million economic impact.
