STL health care system names new CEO

St. Louis-based SSM Health chose Laura Kaiser as its new CEO.

The current chief operating officer of Utah-based Intermountain Healthcare, Kaiser is scheduled to start May 1.

SSM operates 20 hospitals and over 60 outpatient centers in four states. It also owns a pharmacy benefit manager and an insurance company.
