Some members of the Philadelphia Eagles plan to skip the traditional visit to the White House after winning the Super Bowl.
Wide receiver Torrey Smith, defensive end Chris Long and safety Malcolm Jenkins are among those who plan to boycott the visit, according to NJ.com.
President Donald Trump throughout the season attacked NFL players for kneeling or raising fists during the national anthem. Supporters say the protest was meant to advocate for criminal justice reform and the eradication of social injustice.
"They call it the anthem protest," Smith said this week. "We're not protesting the anthem. It's a protest during the anthem."

Regarding refusing to stand during the anthem. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck or (an eagle). Of course they have every right to protest in America. Try doing protests in Iran or North Korea. Reform will not happen there, more like "eradication".
Obviously these guys have suffered severe head injuries - the flag and the anthem should ALWAYS be respected by all Americans - protest for your cause during the game - refuse to get off the bench - let's see how that protest would be accepted by the NFL
