Springfield-based BKD LLP and KPM CPAs PC ranked on Inside Public Accounting’s list of the top U.S. firms.
BKD maintained its No. 12 rating for the fourth year in a row, while KPM dropped 13 spots based on 2016 revenue, according to the list.
BKD’s revenue last year was $564.4 million, while KPM’s was $15.7 million, according to Inside Public Accounting.
KPM’s revenue grew from $15.2 million in 2015, but it wasn’t enough for an upgrade on the list. The company ranked 204th last year.
Topping the list was New York-based Deloitte LLP, which posted 2016 revenue of $17.5 billion. Rounding out the top five are:
• New York-based PricewaterhouseCoopers, at $14.3 billion;
• New York-based EY, at $11.2 billion;
• New York-based KPMG LLP, at $8.6 billion; and
• Chicago-based RSM US LLP, at $2 billion.
The top five firms’ revenue increased by a range of 7.2 percent to 13 percent.
The Republic School District is on track to open its Intermediate School for fifth- and sixth-grade students for the 2025-26 academic year.
