Missouri State University officials on Oct. 26 unveil a $250 million capital campaign led by actor and alumnus John Goodman. More than 2,000 people attended the announcement at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts, and around 3,000 enjoyed the festivities that included food trucks, fireworks and entertainment.
Goodman, Kansas City Royals owner David Glass and professional football player Clay Harbor were among those MSU brought to town for the event.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
