Parkcrest Dental Group has been a fixture in Springfield for 43 years. Started in 1974 by a group of forward-thinking dentists, it has grown into one of the largest dental practices in southwest Missouri.

Parkcrest is one of the only dental practices in southwest Missouri to provide general dentistry services like crowns, bridges, dentures, extractions, implants, sedation dentistry, and Invisalign, while also having both a board certified pediatric specialist and a board certified orthodontic specialist all in one place.

Administrator Tiffani Killingsworth says, “Our practice strives to be on the leading edge of dentistry to provide excellent care to each and every one of our valued patients. We provide total care by having multiple providers, including highly trained specialists, all under one roof.”

Parkcrest Dental Group recently underwent a huge change with the addition of 6,000 square feet of space and a complete remodel of the facilities. Expanding what was already a large dental office building built in the 70s had its challenges and while they’ve done smaller remodels throughout the years, this is the most extensive remodel in the company’s history, and the largest undertaking by far. The massive expansion was years in the making and serious attention to detail was paid in order to maximize efficiency for both patients and staff.

“The new building is absolutely amazing, a total transformation, and we can’t wait to share it with our patients,” says Killingsworth.

During the expansion Parkcrest was able to enlarge their clinical space from 28 operatories to 40 high-tech, efficient operatory rooms. They strive to offer patients the latest in technology including digital and 3-D x-rays. The additional space also includes 1,600 square feet of space for a dedicated pediatric wing and 1,575 square feet for an orthodontic wing. Each of these wings has its own board certified specialist who will see patients, with the orthodontist providing office hours even on some Saturdays.

With all this new space came the need for additional staff. Parkcrest recently added to the teams of hygienists and chair side assistants, and looks forward to bringing on another general dentist within the year.

“We know everyone today has such busy schedules that we are happy to provide multi-specialty dental services in one convenient location. That’s how we make it easy for the whole family to have great smiles,” says Killingsworth.

The additions of new people and space have allowed Parkcrest Dental Group to stay true to its business philosophy of “Total care, total caring” by having one facility that can address all the dentistry and orthodontic needs of every member of every family.
