Ozark Empire Expands with New Franchise, Catering New Franchise, Catering

Ozark Empire Fairgrounds and Event Center is making great strides in its full-service exposition, concessions and catering services. The OEFEC recently renovated 21,000 square feet of additional trade show space, bringing the total expo space to 110,000 square feet.

The OEFEC offers a variety of differently sized venues to meet customers’ needs. “We can host any sized or themed event, including company picnics, award banquets, training seminars, weddings, holiday parties, agricultural events and camping,” says general manager Aaron Owen.

The OEFEC has established a food and beverage operation that can cater in-house events for 10 to 2000 people and also added mobile catering services. OEFEC’s catering options include a mobile kitchen, mobile smoker, 12 concession stands, BootDaddy Grille, and Motorway Café.

Fair food isn’t the only thing on the menu. “We make everything from corndogs and funnel cakes to steaks and salmon,” says Concessions, Food and Beverage Manager Ben Agee.

OEFEC also has a rental division that allows customers to rent items such as tables, linens, chairs, pipe and drape for events at other locations.

OEFEC recently added a Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies franchise to its lineup. The franchise serves all-natural, tropical fruit smoothies and coffee drinks. Customers can find Maui Wowi smoothies and coffees during events at OEFEC, JQH Arena, Lucas Oil Speedway, and at local athletic competitions.

“We strive to offer our guests and vendors a nice variety of high-quality food throughout the year that’s not your typical fair food,” says Owen.
