O’Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) Chief Financial Officer Tom McFall recently bought and sold thousands of shares, according to a filing this week with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
McFall on May 11 purchased 7,500 shares under the SEC’s transaction code M before selling them at market prices, according to the May 15 filing. Under transaction code M, executives execute their right to buy shares at a set price and sell them on the market.
Through the transaction, McFall netted $1.8 million, according to the filing.
In 2017, the CFO’s total compensation was $1.6 million, a 33 percent decrease from 2016, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
O’Reilly Automotive’s stock is up about 13 percent on the year. ORLY shares were trading at $272.02 as of 10:06 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $169.43 to $279.23.
