Springfield Plumbing LLC
After 20 years working for Springfield Plumbing Service Inc., Brandon Boyd on Nov. 1 purchased the subcontracting business from founder J.B. Snethern. Boyd organized Springfield Plumbing LLC for the acquisition, which was financed by BancorpSouth for undisclosed terms. The company’s 15 employees operate from 1324 S. Scenic Ave. and work regularly with about eight general contractors, Boyd said. Crews mostly work on new residential, commercial and industrial construction jobs within a 90-mile radius, he said. Boyd has a construction management degree from Ozarks Technical Community College, as well as master plumber and master gasfitter certifications. Snethern, who retired, started Springfield Plumbing in the mid-1990s and Boyd served as vice president since 2004.
