The Lime Agency LLC owner Jeremy Adams on Jan. 20 opened collaborative office space Freshcube at 400 E. Walnut Ave., Ste. B-100. Adams said Freshcube targets freelancers or startups and offers full-time office spaces for $200 per month with unlimited desk access, Internet access and 10 conference room hours. Part-time spaces also are available with 10 desk hours, discounted wireless and two conference room hours. Freshcube has three private office spaces, but all three are currently occupied by Aviary Café and Creperie LLC, Visual Latina and ESM Technologies LLC. Hometown Business Alliance
After launching regional offices in 15 states across the country in January, Hometown Business Alliance brought its first branch to Springfield on April 28 under the leadership of Regional Coordinator Brenda Hilliard. The alliance, run out of Hilliard’s home, sponsors networking events and holds business workshops around the city designed to help small businesses during their first three years of operation, Hilliard said. Membership fees for the alliance are $9.99 a month, and members receive full access to the Hometown Business Alliance Web site, as well as seminars and workshops at a discounted price. Five Star Pest Control
After working four years in law enforcement, Ryan Snow returned to his roots by opening Five Star Pest Control on May 14. Snow previously worked for Terminix for several years before taking a position at the Christian County Jail in February 2008. Snow and his wife, Dayna, are both certified applicators, and Five Star Pest Control is run out of their Nixa home. The company serves Greene County and the bordering counties, providing pest, termite and moisture control services, and real estate inspections. Snow said pest control measures cover interiors, exteriors, attics, basements and crawl spaces.
