Designed by Sedalia-based Wallace Architects LLC, the 31,000-square-foot center on 5.4 acres includes a community center and six units for veterans referred by The Kitchen Inc.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1320 E. McClernon St. — located northwest of Interstate 44 and Glenstone Avenue — is scheduled 10 a.m. Oct. 19, according to a news release.

Roz Palmer, community development manager for The Kitchen, said move-ins began in May and have continued through the completion of the development. Occupancy currently is at 97 percent, she said.
