Nutella maker to buy Nestle's US candy unit

Ferrero SpA, the Italian maker of Nutella, agreed to buy Nestle's U.S. confectionery unit for $2.8 billion.

The sale of the unit includes the Butterfinger and Baby Ruth brands, according to Bloomberg.

It's also the first major divestment by the Swiss food giant since CEO Mark Schneider took over last year.
