BKD LLP promoted four employees to senior associate II positions: Meg Green, Gabbie McCollum, David Schoenhoff and Madi Slinker. Green is a member of its long-term care team, providing audit and reimbursement consulting services. McCollum primarily serves community health care center clients. Schoenhoff is a member of the firm’s national financial services group, providing tax, accounting and consulting services to financial institutions, corporations, partnerships and individuals. Slinker is an auditor primarily serving manufacturing, distribution, nonprofit and community health center clients.

Pioneer Outdoor LLC Vice President Stuart Lipscomb was named president, succeeding his dad Larry Lipscomb, who will remain managing member. He handles account management of regional and national advertisers, scheduling and overseeing their campaigns. Stuart Lipscomb has been co-owner of Pioneer Outdoor for eight years.

Engineering
GeoEngineers Inc. added Shiloh Beeman as a senior hydrogeologist. Leading the water tracing and natural resource practice areas, she handles aquifer studies; hazardous waste site investigations; groundwater remediation; dam and reservoir leakage; leakage from municipal and industrial piping; and environmental impacts of construction.

Government
Steve Pierson was appointed to the state’s Credit Union Commission by Missouri Gov. Mike Parson. Pierson is the former president and CEO of BluCurrent Credit Union, serving 36 years. He also managed Springday Employees Credit Union and was a field representative with the Missouri Credit Union League in St. Louis. His six-year term expires Jan. 1, 2025.

Health Care
Citizens Memorial Hospital added Dr. Christina Capps as a geriatrician. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in geriatric medicine and internal medicine. Capps completed her residency in internal medicine at the Univeristy of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine.

The Child Adcocacy Center named Lori Barnes Miller as director of development, focused on fundraising and increasing awareness of the agency. Miller was the assistant director of financial aid at Drury University, where she’s worked since 2012.

CoxHealth Ozark Pediatrics added Abbey Hibbert as family nurse practitioner. She most recently worked as a school nurse for Springfield Public Schools for 10 years. Hibbert prescribes medication, performs examinations and treats patients.

Law
Court Appointed Special Advocates of Southwest Missouri appointed 13 new volunteers: Cindy Beecher, Joshua Beecher, Connie Cronin, Kelli Dunaway, Amy Fisher, Jessica Hancock, Hailey King, Dawn Marcum, Shawna McDermitt, Brenda Phillips-Butler, Micheala Steinmetz-Benton, Carrie Waggoner and Tennille Wood. CASA has sworn in 55 volunteers this year.

Neale & Newman LLP attorney Nate Dunville was selected for The Missouri Bar 2019 Tom Cochran Community Service Award. Presented to honor a lawyer’s community enhancement through community service and professionalism, Dunville was recognized for his work on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks Inc. and Drew Lewis Foundation Inc., along with being an ambassador for Lost and Found Grief Center.

Joe Passanise, partner at Law Offices of Dee Wampler & Joe Passanise PC, was named by legal professional publication Best Lawyers as one of the top criminal defense lawyers in America. Recipients are chosen based on peer feedback in certain practice areas and regions.

Real Estate
Gerken & Associates Inc. added Tricia Jackson as a broker/salesperson. She has 24 years of experience and operated her own company, Key Real Estate, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jackson also served as a legal assistant in the District Court of Oklahoma for 25 years.
