Communications
Chestnut Labs added Dylan Walker as marketing communication manager. He previously worked in a similar role for Integrity Home Care LLC and remains a contracted employee for Integrity’s digital marketing efforts. At Chestnut Labs, Walker is responsible for internal and external communication, marketing, advertising and public relations.

Education
The Evangel University Alumni Association recognized David Stair and J. Calvin Holsinger III during a Trees of Honor ceremony. Stair served as physical education department chair and athletic director, also coaching women’s basketball and tennis over 38 years of service. Holsinger, who was honored posthumously, spent 33 years at Evangel, mostly as social sciences department chair. They’re among 33 Evangel alumni, staff and friends honored by tree plantings on campus.

Missouri State University named Christopher Collins director of the Missouri Fine Arts Academy in its College of Arts and Letters. An assistant professor in MSU’s department of communication, Collins has played leading roles at the Shaw and Tabernacle theaters in London, and the Muson Center in Nigeria.

Government
Dr. Brian Clonts
was voted by the Branson Board of Alderman to fill the open Ward 3 alderman position. Clonts, the hospitalist department medical director at Cox Medical Center Branson and medical director for Shepherd of the Hills Living Center in Branson, succeeds Betsy Seay, who resigned Sept. 1 after she moved out of the district.

Gov. Mike Parson appointed Don Phillips to the Board of Probation and Parole. A former state representative for Christian, Stone and Taney counties, Phillips was a Missouri state trooper for 28 years before his legislative service. 

Law
The 31st Court en Banc selected Kevin Austin as treatment court commissioner. He will succeed Peggy Davis, who is retiring Dec. 1.

Manufacturing
Donald Chenevert Jr.
and Matthew Hudson were recognized in the Remanufacturing Industries Council’s ACE Awards for advocating, collaborating and educating in the industry. Chenevert, the deputy general counsel for SRC Holdings Corp., won the Collaborate Award from his work chairing the RIC committee that developed and gained approval of the official American National Standards Institute definitions for remanufacturing. Hudson, the dean of technical education at Ozarks Technical Community College, received the Educate Award for developing and implementing new remanufacturing courses.

Retail
The Spa Gallery
was named regional dealer of the year by Artesian Spa. The pool and hot tub dealer will be featured in an upcoming issue of the SpaRetailer trade magazine.

Farm 2 Counter Inc. was one of eight companies featured in the 2018 National Association of Convenience Stores’ Ideas 2 Go program in Las Vegas, Nevada. In showcasing the concepts redefining convenience among retailers, Farm 2 Counter was selected for using its warehouse as a convenience store.

Transportation
The Missouri Trucking Association elected Mark Walker as chairman and Amber Edmondson as second vice chairman and American Trucking Associations’ vice president. Walker is the chairman and CEO of TransLand in Strafford and Edmondson is president of Trailiner Corp.

Technology
Paladin Managed Solutions LLC
received the 2018 Pro-Tech Service Award from Konica Minolta for commitment to technical expertise, inventory control, dispatch systems, managerial skills and customer satisfaction.
