Architecture
Ryan Stewart
joined Buxton Kubik Dodd Design Collective as an architect. A graduate of Drury University, Stewart has experience in K-12 educational, library, mixed-use, retail and renovation design, as well as comprehensive planning.

Accounting
BKD CPAs PC promoted Valerie Kelsey and Lisa Chrisman to senior consultants. Kelsey, who has four years of accounting experience and eight years in the insurance industry, works with the firm’s long-term care unit. With a bachelor’s in accounting from Drury, Chrisman works on BKD’s hospital reimbursement team.

Banking & Finance
Jackie Humphreys
, loan administration manager at Guaranty Bank, was promoted to vice president of the company’s operations center. With 17 years of banking experience, Humphreys joined Guaranty in 2013 and has a bachelor’s in business administration from Drury.

Forbes magazine ranked Arvest Bank as No. 266 on its 2018 list of America’s Best Large Employers. This is the second consecutive year for Arvest on the list of 500 companies with 5,000 or more employees.

Construction
The Nabholz Corp. hired Tim Potthoff as a project manager for its Springfield-based operations. With 13 years of experience, he most recently served as a project manager for Rich Kramer Construction Inc. and worked on Harmony House’s renovations and construction of Ozarks Technical Community College’s Workforce Development Center.

Education
Springfield Public Schools named Bill Powers as principal of Kickapoo High School. He will succeed Kelly Allison, who is retiring July 1. Powers has served as principal of Cherokee Middle School and assistant vice principal of Study Middle School. He worked previously as a classroom teacher in Florida.

Engineering
Dylan Newell
accepted a full-time position as a structural designer and forensic investigator with Miller Engineering PC after passing the fundamentals of engineering exam. He recently earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Miller Engineering PC hired Shane Ferrell, Aleksey Pavlov, Steve Brumfield and Christina Kirby. Ferrell is a drafter and forensic investigator for the firm, with more than 30 years of commercial and residential construction experience. Pavlov, a forensic investigator and structural designer, has more than eight years of experience in the construction industry. Brumfield is an engineering technician with more than 28 years of design and drafting experience, and Kirby brings more than 10 years of experience in office management.

Health Care
Dr. Eric Fulnecky
was appointed to Citizens Memorial Hospital’s Infectious Disease Clinic in Bolivar. He is board certified by the American Board of Infectious Disease and attended medical school at Howard University of Medicine in Washington, D.C., with his residency completed in internal medicine at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Fulnecky previously worked for Mercy Clinic in Springfield.

Law Enforcement
Capt. Chad Eutsler
and Lt. Bob Byrne of the Springfield Police Department completed the Missouri Police Chiefs Charitable Foundation Command College Class VIII. The college provides officers with training in peace officer standards and continuing education.

Municipal
Lt. E.J. Jones
of the Branson Police Department completed an administrative officers course through the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He received the  Director’s Award for Academic Excellence for achieving the highest GPA among 48 other command-level officers who completed the course.

Nonprofit
Tonya Hammons
was hired as executive director at the Republic Area Chamber of Commerce, ending a 23-year tenure at Commerce Bank. She most recently worked as a vice president and branch manager for Commerce. Hammons succeeds Andrea Banwart at the chamber.
