GHN Architects Engineers Business Manager Jean Stoops was named 2012 Outstanding Administrative Professional of the Springfield Area by the Springfield Metro Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals. Stoops, a Drury University alum, has worked for GHN for 14 years.

Russell Layman joined GHN Architects Engineers as an architectural intern. He previously served as vice president of corporate accounts and business development at Abbott Laboratories. He holds a bachelor’s in architecture from Drury.

Banking
Bonnie Murdock was named vice president of loan operations at Old Missouri Bank. She has 34 years of banking experience including loan operations management and regulatory compliance.

Education
Thomas Peters was named dean of university libraries at Missouri State University. He holds a master’s in English from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, a master’s in library and information sciences from the University of Iowa, and a bachelor’s in English and philosophy from Grinnell College.

Landon Gray was named principal at Branson Elementary West. Gray, currently a principal at Hollister Elementary, earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from MSU.

Government
Clyde Jones of Ash Grove received a Senior Service Award from Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder. Jones retired from the federal government in 1987, and now serves as lead volunteer for the Tax Counseling for the Elderly Program.

Health Care
Dr. Michael Myers joined Skaggs Medical West in Kimberling City. Myers previously served as program director for the Lincoln Family Medicine Program in Lincoln, Neb., and he attended medical school at the University of Nebraska.

The Community Health Accreditation Program Inc. awarded Phoenix Home Care accreditation under the CHAP Home Health Standard of Excellence. In joining the 5,000 CHAP-accredited health care providers nationwide, Phoenix Home Care was evaluated for its services and products, human and financial resources, and long-term viability.

Insurance
Nixon and Lindstrom hired Randie Lowe as an employee benefit customer service representative. Lowe holds a bachelor’s in administrative management from MSU.

Marketing
Morelock-Ross Builders Inc. named Deryk Morelock as social media director for Morelock-Ross and Burrito Concepts LLC, its Qdoba franchise division. Morelock, who received his bachelor’sin advertising and public relations from Drury, worked previously as backstage manager for the O’Reilly Family EventCenter.[[In-content Ad]]
