Architecture
Butler, Rosenbury & Partners named Danielle Clay as an intern architect. Clay graduated from Drury University with a bachelor’s in architecture with emphasis in design arts, art history and global studies.

Education
Novus International contributed $16,000 to underwrite needs-based scholarships at Missouri College Fund member schools, including Drury, Evangel and Southwest Baptist universities. The grant provides 16 $1,000 science scholarships.

Evangel University associate professor of education Debra Yonke received her Ed.D. from Lindenwood University in St. Charles. Yonke has served in Evangel’s educational department since 2009.

Health Care
Ozarks Community Hospital was awarded a five-star designation for inpatient services by Professional Research Consultants Inc. The award, given during the PRC Excellence in Healthcare Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., is based on patient ratings for quality of care. Last year, OCH received a four-star designation.

CoxHealth honored registered nurses Tiffany Munro, Lyn Foster and Shelly Estes with the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The award, given through the Daisy Foundation, recognizes the education, training and skill nurses provide to patients.

Dr. Ken Carpenter joined the orthopedic staff at Ferrell-Duncan Clinic Bone and Joint Surgeons. Carpenter earned his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences School of Medicine in Portland, Ore. and completed his residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio.

Hospitality
Sean Dixon, interactive media manager at Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau, was selected as a 30 under 30 honoree by Destination Marketing Association International. A CVB employee since 2010, Dixon earned a bachelor’s in mass media and a master’s in communication from MSU.

Ramada Oasis Hotel received a Ramada Worldwide 2012 Best of the Best Award, recognizing the top 5 percent of hotels that have demonstrated a dedication to customer service, property performance and accommodations.

Insurance
Jodie Webb joined Naught-Naught Agency as a commercial insurance writer. She represents all commercial lines of insurance coverage including workers compensation, business auto, general liability and bonds. Webb brings 16 years of commercial insurance experience to Naught-Naught.

Interior Design
Decorating Den Interiors franchisee Nola Shivers was named Franchise Owner of the Year. A franchisee since 1998, Shivers serves clients throughout the Springfield and Kansas City areas.

Nonprofit
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks received a $5,500 contribution from the Morgan Stanley Foundation on behalf of volunteer efforts of Brooke Bigham, financial adviser and financial planning specialist for the Layman Group. The proceeds will be used to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Amachi mentoring program that focuses on children with parents or siblings who are incarcerated.

T.J. Loudis joined the Better Business Bureau of Southwest Missouri as its new community outreach and development director. In that role, his responsibilities include coordinating and presenting various community events for both businesses and consumers. Loudis was formerly the president of T.J. Sales Co.

Services
Jeff Jenkins, founder of The Skinny Improv comedy troupe, joined Pearson-Kelly Office Products as director of business development. Jenkins, previously executive director of Gillioz Theatre, continues his role with Skinny Improv.[[In-content Ad]]
